Osteopathy for Children & Teenagers
In the UK, nearly one in ten children and young people consult primary care each year for musculoskeletal pain (BMC et al 2025).
The most common issues that I see in children and teenagers are usually related to posture, the physical demands of school, or the physical demands of sports & hobbies.
Treatment aims to ease physical tensions & help biomechanical balance to the body so that the body can begin to function better and to ease pain or discomfort.
My holistic approach to the treatment is tailored to each individual patient - and can include Structural Osteopathy, Cranial Osteopathy & Massage. Osteopathic techniques are suitable for children at all stages of development; I will assess your child to see what might help.
I can also offer advice on how you can help yourself between sessions.
I provide a full treatment plan and rehabilitation program for patients who have suffered a sport injury, are recovering from a trauma or surgery and for persistent problems.
Having suffered with back pain and plantar fasciitis as a child myself, I am passionate about helping children resolve problems quickly so that they can continue the activities they enjoy most.
